What’s in a name?

2 Dec

Welcome to the newest blog in the world!!!!!

So what’s in the name?

‘Disciples of the Cross’ is the name given to the 2012 intake of Salvation Army trainee leaders (cadets) around the world.

I am one of those trainee leaders together with the 3 other co-authors of this blog!

2 of us are training in IKEAland, Svvveeden (Kalle and Fanny Ljungholm) and the other 2 are just few doors down from the Queen Elizabeth II herself, as we train in London (Ben and Rebecka Cotterill).

As we write about our experiences and what we are thinking about we hope readers will not just understand WHAT we are doing but WHY we are doing it.

The new street corner (where you might be used to seeing The Salvation Army) is in cyberspace! Now while this blog is a little late to the party – we hope you enjoy reading, listening, and watching the posts, music and video’s we blog about!

So, to get the ball rolling with WHY we are doing what we’re doing….at the end of the day it all comes down to this guy in the youtube video below….the dude in white that is…

Hi fellow DOC’s. I’m in the Disciples session at the training college in Sydney, Australia. I’m am so excited and proud to be a part of this amazing session and growing with my fellow session mates, and the other DOC’s around the world in the year to come. Something great is on the horizon.

Hi Andrew, thanks for getting in touch!

Couldn’t agree me about the horizon! Would be great to be in touch with DOCs around the world. I’m thinking an international facebook group might be in order…unless there is one and I’m not invited!
